Of The East Bay
BENVENUTI!
In the latter part of the 1920’s several Italian American clubs in the East Bay were in existence, and although progressing, many of the leaders of each club felt that an association should be formed so that more recognition of our Italian American background could be brought forth to those unaware of our existence.
In the year of 1930, ground work for this wonderful idea was established, the IAF was a reality, and Frank Gatto was installed as its first president and was to serve in that capacity until 1940.
WHAT WE DO
The IAF works to further the welfare of all persons of Italian-American Descent living in the easy bay and surrounding areas.
We also support the interest of Italian American clubs in and around the east bay as well as promoting Italian culture both near and far.
THE IAF....
Participates in and hosts a variety of events including;
The San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade, Queen Coronation, and Other Community Affairs.
Italian American Federation of the East Bay, Inc. (IAF) Scholarship Application
The Italian American Federation of the East Bay (IAF) Scholarship Program makes available scholarships
to High School (graduating class of 2025) OR Community College Transfer students of Italian descent.
Scholarships are provided by the IAF and through contributions from other Italian Clubs in the East Bay.
